Career Opportunities
Medical Plans
Employees have the choice of three different medical plans. CA Employees can choose from an HMO, a PPO or a PPO with a Health Savings Account or (HSA) and employees outside of CA can choose an EPO, a PPO or a PPO with a Health Savings Account or (HSA). All plans offer employees a wide choice of physician in the Blue Shield Network, one of the nation's largest networks of providers. Vision insurance through the VSP Network is included at no cost to those employees who sign up for medical coverage.
Dental Plan
Breg is pleased to offer a dental PPO with the Aetna network. Aetna is one of the largest Dental Carriers in the US and therefore offers many dentists to choose from at a very low cost to the employee.
Flexible Spending Accounts
For certain health and dependent care expenses not reimbursed by insurance programs, employees may enroll in the Flex Plan, which allows expenses to be paid with pre-tax dollars rather than after-tax dollars.
Participation is optional and employees decide whether or not, and how much, to contribute to their spending account. There are two accounts, one for health care and one for dependent care. Employees set aside money for these accounts through convenient payroll deductions which are made on a pre-tax basis so that employees reduce their taxable income.
The Flex Plan Dependent Care Account may be used to pay for dependent day care expenses incurred by the employee and spouse while working or attending school.
Life Insurance Plans
As a regular, full-time employee of Breg, you are covered by a company-paid Term Life Insurance plan. The benefit of the plan is equal to one times your annual base salary.
Supplemental Life Insurance
Additional Voluntary Life Insurance is available. Employees can purchase in increments of $10,000 and up, to a maximum of $500,000, or 5 times their annual earnings. Spouse coverage can be purchased up to the lesser of 50% of the employee’s amount or $250,000 in increments of $5,000. Dependent children coverage is available; coverage is to a maximum of $10,000 for each child and can be purchased in increments of $2,000.
Long & Short Term Disability
This disability benefit provides financial protection for you by paying a portion of your income while you are disabled. The amount you receive is based on the amount you earned before your disability began.
Paid Time Off
The company maintains a PAID TIME OFF (PTO) Benefit, which allows eligible employees to receive their wages while off work for vacation, personal or family business, and personal or dependent illness or emergency. The PTO benefit is designed to allow for the rest and relaxation of regular employees, as well as to minimize the financial hardship that would otherwise confront employees who are required to be absent from work due to the above situations. The purpose of a Paid Time Off program is to recognize the diverse situations in which employees have needs for time off and allows eligible employees to receive their wages while managing their own time off from work.
Regular full-time and part-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 20 hours a week are eligible to earn PTO benefits from their first day of work. Part-time employees, who are normally scheduled to work less than 20 hours a week, and temporary employees are not eligible to participate in the Paid Time Off benefit. While on a Leave of Absence, eligible employees will discontinue accrual of paid time off hours.
Full time employees begin to earn PTO benefits in accordance with the following schedule:
| Length of Continuous Service | Per Biweekly Pay Period Accrual | 12 month Accrual | Maximum Accrual |
| Day one up to 1st year complete service | 4 hours per pay period | 104 hours per year (13 days) | 208 Hours |
| Beginning 1st year up to 2nd year complete service | 4.31 hours per pay period | 112 hours per year (14 days) | 224 Hours |
| Beginning 2nd year up to 3rd year complete service | 4.62 hours per pay period | 120 hours per year (15 days) | 240 Hours |
| Beginning 3rd year up to 4th year complete service | 4.92 hours per pay period | 128 hours per year (16 days) | 256 Hours |
| Beginning 4th year up to 5 years complete service | 5.54 hours per pay period | 144 hours per year (18 days) | 288 Hours |
| Beginning 5th year up to 6 years complete service | 5.85 hours per pay period | 152 hours per year (19 days) | 304 Hours |
| Beginning 6th year and over | 6.15 hours per pay period | 160 hours per year (20 days) | 320 Hours |
Part-time employees regularly scheduled at least 20 hours per week will earn pro-rated PTO based on their regular scheduled workweek. For example, an employee regularly scheduled 20 hours per workweek will accrue 2 hours per pay period during the first year of service.
