Breg Kodiak Cold Therapy Unit
After the first shoulder surgery 2 1/2 years ago, it worked very well & was worth every penny! It makes it incredibly easy for the caretaker and is very effective diminishing swelling and therefore increase comfort. The unit will sweat so put a towel under it. It's important to disconnect and refill as directed.
However, after the second and, unfortunately complicated shoulder surgery; the top of the unit started leaking between the two manufactured pieces. Because it's our second "rodeo", we know how to use the unit correctly and have completed all the listed troubleshooting tips. Sadly, it's Sunday and the company has no one available until regular Monday-Friday business hours. We're back to the "old school" ice pack and hoping the recovery period will not be extended beyond the projected 4 month rehab.
Takes a bit of "Googling" to find the replacement pads for the Kodiak. I am unable to find any replacements for the entire top. I confess I will be angry to have to buy an entire unit because the top of the unit has failed.

Best Ever Post Knee Surgery Product
I've had 4 ACL's and 9 knee surgeries to date. I've used other gravity feed systems and they warm to quickly and are a hastle for your care giver who doesn't have time to change your water every other hour. This is by far the best product on the market. I experienced almost no visible swelling and no pain after my last ACL. In fact I only took one pain pill in anticipation of the pain that never came. Can't promise the same result but can promise you this is worth every penny.
Used for ACL recovery
Great unit, kept my knee cold for hours even through bandages! It really brought down the swelling in my knee.
