The Polar Care Kodiak Cold Therapy System is the most convenient and versatile offering in Breg's Polar Care line. Its easy to use, compact design makes it great for clinic, hospital, and home use. Depending on your patient-specific protocol, with nothing more than an initial fill of a little ice and water, your patients can enjoy up to 6-8 hours of motorized cold therapy.

pad not getting water
Love this thing and it has worked through two knee surgeries. On my 3ed surgery and the unit started to get cold then stopped. Need to get a replacement pad as there seems to be some sort of blockage in the pad itself. Need ASAP PLEASE!

machine not moving water to the pad
I received this wonderful machine while at Mass General Hospital for knee replacement on 4/7. Wonderful machine, but now on 4/13 it no longer cools the pad. The moter hums quietly but the pad stays warm, despite adequate ice and water. I am wondering if a small part fell out when the aide took the hose apart to refill. I really need this as it is the only thing that relieves my considerable pain. How do I contact customer care?

working well for shoulder surgery
Fantastic unit with clear labels and great customer service. Using the regular shoulder pad, but wouldn't fit as intended over original bulky dressings. I just used an ace wrap until I had the bulky ones removed. I'm still glad I ordered the regular size.
I'm not sure where I read it, but I'm also using frozen water bottles since my ice machine can't keep up with every five or six hours. Seems to be working well for me.
I would have given five stars since I am truly satisfied and enjoying this product, but felt there should have been easier to follow instructions for application of the shoulder wrap. I'm a nurse and maybe it's the pain medications but I had one neck of a time figuring out the diagram for the three straps! Also a label to match the top front with cooler front would help.
Overall unmatched quiet, efficient and powerful unit, thank you.

We also have XL versions of the shoulder pad, if needed.
One note of caution: Kodiak was designed to hold ice and water only. Using water bottles isn’t recommended because the unit may not run properly, or stop running altogether.

unit no longer runs quietly
I've been using the Kodiak unit for several months now and have been very satisfied. Over the past couple of weeks the unit no longer runs quietly. If I push down on the lid, the level of sound is reduced. Any help on making the unit run quieter would be appreciated...very annoying in meeting or while on the phone.
