Carlsbad, Calif. – May 23, 2016 – Breg, Inc., a premier provider of sports medicine products and services, announced today that Benjamin Hutson has joined as vice president of operations. Mr. Hutson brings more than 20 years of experience in medical device and biotech logistics to Breg, including a strong background in lean manufacturing processes and integration associated with acquisitions. As vice president of operations, Mr. Hutson will spearhead the strategic development and execution of Breg’s manufacturing operations and supply chain functions.

Currently, Breg features a portfolio of premier bracing and cold therapy brands, as well as consulting and billing services instrumental to supporting its client’s orthopedic practices. Breg has more than doubled its revenues in the last three years and expects to continue to grow well ahead of the market.

Prior to joining Breg, Mr. Hutson led global operations at Microport Orthopedics following the company’s acquisition of Wright Medical’s knee and hip franchise. He also has served in leadership roles at contract sterilization provider Sterigenics International and Smith & Nephew’s biologics/spine and trauma divisions. He has a proven track record of improving gross margins, reducing waste and creating cultures of continuous improvement and safety. Mr. Hutson holds a bachelor’s degree in cell biology from Barton College and an executive master’s degree in business administration from Mercer University.
